The Myth is a 2010 Chinese television series based on the 2005 Hong Kong film of the same title. Jackie Chan, who starred in the original film, was credited as producer for the series, while Stanley Tong, the director of the film, was creative director for the series. The 50 episodes-long TV series was first aired on CCTV-8 in China from 2 to 18 January in 2010. The production cost for the series was estimated to be at 40 million yuan.
